VoIP Review - By: Robert James
01/25/11Pros:
I recently swiched from Verizon and the savings is great but the phones have been un reliable over the past few days.
Cons:
We have had poor voice quality for the persons with whom we are speaking and dropped calls. We got a new router which helped but Nextiva has been having major problems on their end. They are telling us it is because they have swithed servers.
Other Thoughts:
I hope they can fix their issues soon as our phones are not working.

01/22/11Pros:
The flexibility is very important for me. Calls to my office phone transfer to my cellular and home office when I am not at my desk. I have been pleased with the quality of service.
Cons:
I would like to have the ability to make office calls from my cell phone. That way I can stop paying AT&T for cellular service and have one phone provider for business and cellular.
Other Thoughts:
I purchased Nextiva based on the recommendation for a friend. Setting up the service took about an hour of my time and I haven't had any issues.

PBX Review - By: Forrest
01/20/11Pros:
It's cheaper than the Business Grade VoIP providers.
Cons:
The call quality is so-so. Every afternoon my call quality goes to crap. The Customer Support rep says it is because kids come home from school and get on the internet -- I've put up with this for about six weeks but I'm done after today's experience
Other Thoughts:
I had a customer write a very rude letter to me today and his primary complaint with my service (I'm an insurance agent) is that whenever he calls into my agency he cannot understand a word we say. It turns out that we thought the call quality was pretty good because we could hear people, but they say we sound like we are underwater. I discussed this with my IT guy and he said it is just the way voip works. He told me to either get a Business Grade VoIP provider or go back to Qwest. I do not want to buy an expensive PBX and I really like the features that VoIP provides but this decision is causing me to look like an unprofessional business owner.
My IT guy recommends that we go with a voip solution from a local company called comvoice because they use private internet connections, but I checked out there website and it doesn't appear that they are different than Nextiva. If anyone has experience with these guys let me know.
I'm scared to spend anymore money on IP phones due to the horrible experience I've had. I'm thinking that voip just isn't ready for businesses yet...Magicjack is AWESOME at home though. :)

01/18/11Pros:
Signed up for the yearly fax service it os really inexpensive.
Cons:
Most of my incomming faxes fail. Called Nextiva so far it has been a week and they have not fixed the problem. They said it may be a problem with their carrier and it could take up to 2 weeks to resolve. Wish I never got this service
